Nah, all teams start with only 1 area. You have to beat other teams to expand your territory.

But you can only start with one area, just because no one has that area doesn't mean you can take it. The only way to gain more territory is by fighting for it. Period. If you want it, you'll have to wait for some one to claim it, then challenge them for it. This way it keeps one team from just being able to get every area too quickly and give everyone a chance to at least start with some turf.

6 teams, 5 areas... IMO, that calls for a bigger map. Otherwise, FilthyPriest might take offense.

Well, due to lack of ANY traffic on here, the map will probably be wiped in case new people start showing up. That way people who actually RP can have something to RP for.
